CAD Technician
ROLE: CAD TECHNICIAN - MECHANICAL MACHINERY / EQUIPMENT
SECTOR: MECHANICAL MANUFACTURE / ENGINEERING
BASED: ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND
SALARY: £18,000 TO £25,000 DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE
HOURS: 37 HOURS PER WEEK MON-FRI
As a leading manufacturer of mechanical lifting equipment, my client is looking to strengthen their team in recruiting for a CAD Technician. With engineering experience going back over 100 years, the company have a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility based near Aberdeen producing equipment to the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and growing company.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed 2D drawings & 3D models of equipment & components.
Prepare accurate layout drawings of new product designs for manufacture.
Maintain accurate Bill of Materials.
Carry out work instructions effectively whilst meeting tight deadlines.
Conduct good engineering practice within day-to-day tasks.
Key skills:
HND / HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar as a minimum.
Extensive experience using AUTOCAD programs is essential.
Experience using Solidworks 3D CAD in a mechanical design environment.
Have a working knowledge of MathCad would be an advantage.
Knowledge of hydraulic / pneumatic systems and mechanical lifting equipment would be a distinct advantage.
