Everyone thinks of their home as their own little world, and British Gas needs you to help them get the best out of it in this flexible full-time or 30 hour part-time direct sales role. Visiting people in the local area, you'll build a rapport, work out each potential customer's individual needs and use your sales skills to match those needs to our full portfolio of products and services. This is direct sales with a genuinely consultative approach and uncapped commission. Advising people on how to make less impact on the environment, purchasing homecare products or simply making sure their energy bill has less impact on their bank balance - your consultative sales approach could make all the difference.
As you'd expect from one of The Sunday Times' 25 Best Companies to Work For in 2010, we'll provide you with comprehensive sales training and as long as you can work full-time or part-time between 10am and 8pm, the flexibility means you can manage your time to fit around your other commitments. What's more, you could find yourself earning £30,000 a year if you achieve minimum targets, or even more as we offer uncapped commission - our top earners make around £86,500 a year. For those of you living in applicable areas, we also offer £2,496 London Weighting on a pro rata basis and we'll offer everyone the chance to earn an additional £1,000 performance related bonus in your first 30 weeks with us - on top of all commission payments. Finally, you will receive £1,000 upon successful completion of a 13 week probationary period. Basic pay for energy industry sales professionals will be up to £13k based on evidence provided of experience. A car may be required, dependent on location.
