Java Analyst Programmer / Developer
Hudson IT are currently seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a major player in the UK financial market. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the development life cycle and can expect to get involved in development of applications for a variety business areas.
Role Responsibilities:
-Development & maintenance of software
-Analysis of business requirements and technical design
-Production of relevant documentation
-Structured unit testing of software
-Impact analysis for complex change requests and new projects
Skills & Experience Required:
-Java / J2EE development background
-Unit testing frameworks
-Open source frameworks
-XML technologies
-Oracle, AJAX, JBoss, Eclipse, CVS, Subversion, MQ, Solaris, scripting languages beneficial
-Good knowledge of UML, modelling tools and Design Patterns
-Ability to work using different methodologies (End2End, Agile-like, Waterfall)
-Strong commercial experience working in an applications development environment
-Experience of the full software development lifecycle
-Previous experience in the financial sector beneficial
